Morphed Images Case: Prime Accused Arjun Reddy Arrested Upon Return from Abroad

On December 8, immigration officials detained him upon his return at Shamshabad airport and alerted Gudivada police

Hyderabad: YSRC president and chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s cousin, Sirigi Reddy Arjun Reddy, has been arrested by the Gudivada police in Krishna district. He is the prime accused in a case involving the morphing of indecent images of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and their family members, which were circulated on social media.

Police had earlier issued notices to Arjun Reddy, and he was arrested on Friday when he appeared at the Gudivada Two Town Police Station. Investigators revealed that previous attempts to arrest him were unsuccessful as he had fled abroad, prompting the issuance of lookout notices. On December 8, immigration officials detained him upon his return at Shamshabad airport and alerted Gudivada police, who then served him notices under Section 41A of the CrPC.

Arjun Reddy, the grandson of YS Prakas Reddy (grandfather of Jagan Mohan Reddy), reportedly faces multiple cases in other districts, including the erstwhile Kadapa district.

Meanwhile, police also arrested Kunasani Vinod, a known follower of YSRC leader and former minister Kodali Nani, for allegedly running online cricket betting operations. The Gudivada One Town police seized ₹50,000 in cash and a mobile phone from his possession. Vinod is accused of operating illegal gambling camps during the YSRC’s tenure and continuing them even after the coalition government came to power.
