Month-Long Yogandhra to Peak With International Yoga Day on June 21

Yoga events held across AP’s famous spots, from temples to beaches, till June 21

Vijayawada: Special chief secretary (Health) M.T. Krishna Babu underlined that Andhra Pradesh is continuing its month-long campaign – Yogandhra 2025 – to increase awareness among people about practising yoga for leading a healthy life. The campaign, launched by the Health department in all districts, will conclude on the 11th International Yoga Day on June 21.

Explaining the schedule, Krishna Babu said during the first week up to May 27, yoga performances will go on at the Bugga Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple in Tadipatri of Anantapur district, Haritha Rock Garden in Orvakal in Kurnool, Gandhi Hill in Vijayawada, and Gundlakamma Reservoir in Prakasam district.

During the second week (May 28–June 3), yoga performances will be held at places including Undavalli Caves in Guntur district, Swarnala Cheruvu in Nellore, Puttaparthi in Sathya Sai district, S.V. Zoo Park in Tirupati and Thotlakonda in Visakhapatnam.

In the third week (June 4–June 10), yoga demonstrations will be organised at places, like Tribal Museum in Araku, Siddhavattam Fort in Kadapa, Samarlakota Temple in Kakinada district, Chintapalli Beach in Vizianagaram and Shilparamam in Anantapur.

In the fourth week (June 11–June 17), yoga programmes will be held at locations, such as Mangalagiri Eco Park in Guntur district, Kondareddy Buruju in Kurnool, Kalahasti in Tirupati, and Vishwanatha Sports Club in Visakhapatnam.

From June 18 to June 20, yoga performances will be held at places like Odapalli Temple in Konaseema, Manas Sarovara Park in Guntur, Maredumilli in Araku, Sriharikota in Tirupati district, Ahobilam Temple in Nandyal, and NTR Beach in Kakinada.

On June 21, the International Yoga Day, Krishna Babu said programmes will be held at Suryalanka Beach and Ramapuram Beach in Bapatla. A special programme will be organised at Lepakshi Temple in Anantapur district.
