Missing Child Traced, Reunited With Parents in Nandyal

The child, a resident of YSR Nagar, was reported missing by her mother through a Dial 112 call to the Nandyal Taluk police.

KURNOOL: A four-year-old girl who went missing in Nandyal district on Sunday night was traced safely and reunited with her parents following an intensive search operation by the police.

The child, a resident of YSR Nagar, was reported missing by her mother through a Dial 112 call to the Nandyal Taluk police.

Police teams immediately launched a search operation in and around YSR Nagar. As the complaint was received late at night, officers conducted door-to-door searches and checked streets, houses and other locations in the locality.

District superintendent of police Sunil Sheran reached the spot and monitored the operation. He directed officials to intensify the search and deploy all available resources to trace the child.

Under the supervision of Nandyal sub-division officer Sushmita, special teams were formed to coordinate the search. Police examined CCTV footage and deployed drone cameras, special teams and a dog squad to search canals, fields and the outskirts of YSR Nagar.

The child was traced in the early hours of Monday at around 6 am in agricultural fields on the outskirts of the locality. She was found safe and handed over to her mother.

“We are relieved and thankful to the police for their timely response and tireless efforts in finding our child,’ the child’s mother said.

Police said the prompt response and coordinated search operation helped trace the child safely and reunite her with her family.
