Minority Youth Get A New Education Hub At Vaddeswaram

Farooq said the initiative, launched under the guidance of Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, aims to make quality coaching accessible to students across the state. Free online and offline coaching classes with experienced faculty have been introduced to benefit students from remote areas, who cannot attend regular classroom sessions."Education is the key to lasting social transformation. The government is giving top priority to minority educational advancement through the CEDM,” he maintained.

The minister alleged that the previous government had neglected educational and employment training for minority youth. However, the present coalition government is focusing not only on the education of minority youth but also on coaching for competitive examinations, skill development, and career guidance.

He noted that although minorities account for only 7.5 to 8 per cent of the state's population, they constitute 11.5 per cent of the successful candidates in the recent DSC teacher recruitment results. Further, nearly 48 per cent of the selected minority candidates are women, reflecting the growing educational empowerment, he stated.

Farooq said through public-private partnerships, the government is introducing smart classrooms, advanced training, and financial assistance programmes. Government Adviser for Minority Welfare Mohammad Ahmad Sharif said CEDM could significantly improve minority representation in government jobs. He sought greater outreach among rural students.

MLA Md. Naseer said the CEDM initiative reflects the government's commitment to implementing the Sachar Committee recommendations and promoting higher education through schemes such as APJ Abdul Kalam Overseas Education Deevena.
