Minister Ravi Distributes Bicycles To Students In Addanki

Nellore:Fulfilling a promise made during the last elections, Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar distributed 452 bicycles to students of the Zilla Parishad high school in Medarametla in Addanki segment of Prakasam district on Thursday.
The endeavour was funded by some institutions through their Corporate Social Responsibility contributions. The minister, on a visit of the constituency, was present at a parent-teacher interaction programme.
Ravi Kumar congratulated students who excelled in academics and extracurricular activities. He noted that education minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation for a stronger educational system in the state.
Highlighting the government’s recent initiatives, he said, “We have implemented the ‘Talli Ki Vandanam’ scheme to support students by directly depositing financial aid into their mothers’ bank accounts. While the previous government extended this benefit to 42 lakh students, we have expanded it to 67 lakh students,” he said.
