Minister Distributes Free Bicycles To Govt HS Students In Addanki

In collaboration with Vidyonnati Foundation, Ongole, scholarships worth ₹3 lakh were distributed to 30 students at the event: Reports

NELLORE: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravikumar stated on Monday that every government high school student in the Addanki constituency would be provided with a free bicycle. So far, over 3,000 bicycles have been distributed across government schools in the region, he said while personally handing over bicycles to 316 students at the GHS in J Panguluru.

The minister noted that since the beginning of the alliance government in the state, the programme has been running with CSR funds from companies such as ASSIST and Megha. Ravikumar thanked such entities for their support.

The government, he said, is committed to providing necessary infrastructure for students. He expressed the hope that government school students would perform on par with their counterparts in corporate schools.

In collaboration with Vidyonnati Foundation, Ongole, scholarships worth ₹3 lakh were distributed to 30 students at the event.

Later, in J Panguluru village, the minister distributed NTR Bharosa pensions to beneficiaries at their doorsteps. The minister also handed over cheques from the CM’s relief fund to 41 beneficiaries from J Panguluru mandal. So far, 1,027 persons have received CMRF support and 132 were provided with letters of credit (LOCs).
