Mega Medical Camp Held at Anantapur Government Polytechnic College
The Nigama Foundation, in coordination with NSS, JNTUA Government Polytechnic College, Anantapur Pragathi Padham Youth Association, and MYBharat, organised a mega medical camp at the Government Polytechnic College in Anantapur on Wednesday.

Anantapur: The Nigama Foundation, in coordination with NSS, JNTUA Government Polytechnic College, Anantapur Pragathi Padham Youth Association, and MYBharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, organised a mega medical camp at the Government Polytechnic College in Anantapur on Wednesday.
The camp, organised as part of the foundation day celebrations of Nigama and birthday of its founder Sameer Penakalapati provided healthcare services to around 600 students and youth under the theme “Healthy Youth, Healthy Nation.”
Others who collaborated in making the camp successful included KH Mind Care Hospital, Anantapur, Indian Red Cross Society and Icon Eye Hospital.
The camp offered free haemoglobin and diabetes screening, blood-pressure checks, general and orthopaedic consultations, and eye examinations.
Those present included JNTUA NSS coordinator Dr. G. Mamatha, MYBharat representative and National Youth Awardee Bisathi Bharath, Government Polytechnic College principal Dr. Jaya Chandra, and Nigama Foundation’s Vasundhara Penakalapati, among others.
Dr. Mamatha appreciated Nigama Foundation for providing healthcare services to students, particularly those from rural backgrounds.
She highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, mental well-being, and healthy lifestyles among young people.
The JNTUA NSS coordinator referred to the foundation’s youth-oriented initiatives, including mental health awareness, Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, and educational support for students and youth in rural and remote areas.
The camp brought together healthcare professionals, educational institutions, voluntary organisations, and youth-service platforms for the benefit of students.
