DSC Notification for 16,437 Teacher Posts Issued on CM’s Birthday

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government released the mega DSC notification for 16,437 teacher posts on Sunday, marking Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's 75th birthday.
Notably, Naidu put his signatures on the files of five election promises he had made, immediately after taking charge as CM last year. The first signature was on the Mega DSC file, the second on the repeal of the land title act, the third on an increase of social security pension to Rs.4,000 from Rs.3,000, the fourth on the restart of Anna canteens and the fifth on a skill census.
Education minister Nara Lokesh released the Mega DSC notification on his social media page. He said that another promise by Naidu was kept through release of the DSC notification for 16,347 teacher posts. “The online application submission is live and application portals are: https://cse.ap.gov.in and https://apdsc.apcfss.in
Lokesh released a video explaining the DSC application process. “For a smooth application process, please refer to the video and detailed notification. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all the aspirants,” he stated.
The initiative, led by the school education department, is part of a series of educational reforms undertaken by the government to improve teaching standards and address the growing need for qualified educators. Through the present notification, candidates can submit their applications online from today till May 15 via the two official portals.

The recruitment drive covers various levels of teaching posts across district, state and zone levels, including School Assistants (SA): 7,487 posts, Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT): 6,599 posts, Physical Education Teachers (PET): 2 posts, with a total 14,088 posts at the district level.
Additionally, 2,259 posts will be filled at the state/zone level under categories such as principals, post graduate teachers, trained graduate teachers and physical directors across government-run welfare and residential schools.
The government has released the vacant posts in the erstwhile 13 districts. The districts with the largest number of vacancies are Kurnool 2,645 posts, Chittoor 1,473, Krishna 1,208 and East Godavari 1,241 posts. The other districts having vacant posts are Guntur 1,143, West Godavari 1,035, Anantapur 807, Visakhapatnam 734, Kadapa 705, Nellore 668, Prakasam 629, Srikakulam 458 and Vizianagaram 446.
The important dates of DSC 2025 are: Notification release: April 20, 2025; Online applications: April 20 to May 15; mock tests available: May 20 onwards; hall ticket download: from May 30; examination dates: June 6 to July 6; initial key release: 2 days post last exam; objection window: 7 days after initial key; final key release: 7 days post-objection deadline; and Merit List announcement: 7 days after final key.
