Mastercard Workshop To Promote Tourism In AP

VIJAYAWADA: Global payment solutions company Mastercard participated in a workshop at the AP Tourism office in Vijayawada. The workshop discussed ways to promote tourism in Andhra Pradesh, including strategies to be adopted, guidelines to be followed, and opportunities to access world-class events.
Addressing the workshop, AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) managing director Amrapali Kaata said their goal is to create lifelong memories for tourists which showcase the rich culture and heritage of Andhra Pradesh, while understanding the preferences of MasterCard cardholders.
The workshop discussed ways to collaborate with culture and other ministries, support social media tourism promotion on government-owned channels and create immersive experiences for tourists.
The APTDC MD said a new tagline and theme for Andhra Pradesh tourism will be unveiled by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on World Tourism Day in September. She underlined that the CM's vision is to make Andhra Pradesh a major tourist destination in South Asia. The workshop is a step towards achieving that goal.
The workshop discussed various tourism circuits, including the Araku and Visakhapatnam region, which will focus on tribal culture and heritage. The Godavari circuit will offer experiences, such as boat rides and sunsets, while the Tirupati circuit will focus on spiritual experiences and heritage.
