Massive Devotee Turnout for Saptaratrotsavam
Around 200 sevaks from Bangalore are serving devotees throughout the week-long festival.

Kurnool: Thousands of devotees are witnessing the 354th Saptaratrotsavam at Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralayam, with many arriving in vehicles on Sunday. Security arrangements have been made by DSP Bhargavi, local circle inspector P. Ramanujulu, and 300 police personnel, with parking provided at eight locations.
Temple priests brought silk clothes from the Srirangam temple in Tamil Nadu, which were given a grand welcome by Sri Mutt AAO Madhava Shetty, managers Srinivasa Rao and Venkatesh Joshi, and other officials. Special prayers were offered in front of the Brindavanam, and the silk clothes were placed on the silver throne in the Oonjala Mandapam.
Around 200 sevaks from Bangalore are serving devotees throughout the week-long festival. Karnataka minister Bose Raju also visited on Sunday, offering prayers at the Manchalamma temple and the Nija Brindavanam, where he was blessed by the head of the shrine, Subudhendra Tirtha. Devotees are also visiting the newly constructed Koneru, built on the lines of Tirumala, which is attracting many visitors.
