Marine Police Caution Fishermen Against Venturing Into Sea

KAKINADA: Marine police have cautioned fishermen against venturing into the sea for the next three to four days as a low-pressure area is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining regions and move towards the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coast.
Odalarevu marine police inspector M.V.S.N. Murthy said the system was expected to intensify, leading to rough sea conditions. He advised fishermen operating mechanised boats not to venture into the sea during the period.
Those already at sea were advised to return to a safe harbour or the coast at the earliest and resume fishing only after receiving official weather updates confirming that conditions had returned to normal.
“Your lives and the safety of your families are more important than fishing. Heed the weather warning, do not venture into the sea and stay safe,” Murthy said.
