Man Who Attempted Suicide At Women Police Station Succumbs

KURNOOL: A man who allegedly attempted suicide outside the women police station in Kurnool after seeking police intervention in a marital dispute succumbed while undergoing treatment at the Government General Hospital on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Vasanth, had approached the police station on Wednesday after reportedly receiving divorce notices from his wife, Bhagyalakshmi.
According to police, the couple was called to the station for counselling. Despite mediation efforts, Bhagyalakshmi remained firm on seeking divorce and refused to continue the marital relationship.
Distressed by this, Vasanth allegedly attempted suicide outside the police station. He was rushed to the Government General Hospital, where his condition turned critical and succumbed on Thursday. Kurnool Two Town police registered a case and were investigating the incident.
