Man Found Murdered Near Kurnool Munsif Court
Police suspect stone attack after possible alcohol-fuelled altercation; probe underway
Kurnool: A 32-year-old man was found murdered near the Munsif Court in Kurnool city on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Golla Harish, a resident of the NTR Gate area. He was found dead near an abandoned house on the banks of the Tungabhadra river, close to the Munsif Court.
Police suspect that Harish was attacked with stones, possibly following an altercation involving alcohol. The exact motive was not immediately known.
Harish was working at a local decoration shop. Personnel of the II Town police station reached the spot after receiving information and launched an investigation. A case was registered and efforts were on to identify and apprehend the assailants.
The body was shifted to the Kurnool Government General Hospital for postmortem examination. Police were questioning locals and collecting information to ascertain the circumstances leading to the murder.
