Malayappa Swamy Appears On Three Vahanas On Sixth Day Of Brahmotsavams
Lord Malayappa Swamy appeared on the Hanumantha Vahanam, Swarna Ratham and Gaja Vahanam on the sixth day of Tirumala Brahmotsavams.
Devotees at Tirumala witnessed Lord Malayappa Swamy on three vahanas on Sunday, the sixth day of the annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams. The deity was taken out on the Hanumantha Vahanam in the morning, the Swarna Ratham in the evening and the Gaja Vahanam at night.
During the morning Hanumantha Vahana Seva, Lord Malayappa appeared in Kodandarama Alankaram, carrying a bow and arrow and seated on the Hanumantha Vahanam.
The procession was accompanied by bhajans, Kolatam performances, Mangala Vadyams and Prabandha recitation by the Jeeyangars. Elephants led the procession as devotees gathered along the mada streets, offering camphor harathi and chanting “Govinda, Govinda”.
The Swarna Ratham procession began at 4 pm, with Lord Malayappa accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi. A large number of women devotees took part in the procession and pulled the golden chariot.
The day concluded with the Gaja Vahana Seva, during which Lord Malayappa was taken around the mada streets on the elephant vahanam. Bhajan groups and Kolatam teams accompanied the procession, while Jeeyangars recited Prabandhams.
Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD executive officer Muddada Ravichandra, additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO K.V. Murali Krishna, board members and other senior officials participated in the Vahana Sevas.
