KURNOOL: A major fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday at Kallur Estate on the outskirts of Kurnool city, damaging an agarbatti manufacturing unit. No casualties were reported.
The blaze erupted at the Deva Agarbatti factory located within the estate. According to officials, the estate also houses the Sri Lakshmi Balaji Oil Mill, and the presence of inflammable materials intensified the fire. Thick smoke and flames engulfed the unit as the blaze spread rapidly.

Preliminary estimates put the property loss at around `15 lakh.
“Fortunately, no one was present at the time of the incident, and there were no casualties,” a fire department official said.
