Mahanadu: TD to Storm Kadapa With Mega Show of Strength
Three-day event to unite the party, unveil six resolutions.

Vijayawada: The stage is set for the Telugu Desam's three-day Mahanadu in Kadapa from May 27, Tuesday.
The Mahanadu would commence with a chanting of the Maa Telugu Talliki song, following which condolences will be offered to the deceased party leaders and activists. Later, the TD supremo and chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, would deliver his inaugural address.
Massive crowds from across the state have begun arriving, turning Kadapa into a sea of yellow with flags, banners, buntings and hoardings in streets, buildings, and at intersections. The event is expected to draw over five lakh people for the final day’s public meeting alone.
Union civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu described Mahanadu as a “festival that unites the Telugu Desam family.” He urged all the “Pasupu Sainyam” (TD cadre) to participate in large numbers and celebrate the electoral victory that has redefined political equations in the state.
Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, present at the venue, said, “The Mahanadu will be remembered forever by everyone in the state as it will be historic.” Information minister Kolusu Parthasarathy added, “The Mahanadu is not just a party meeting, it's a festival of Telugu unity.”
The Mahanadu would begin at 8:30 am, with the registration of representatives. The highlights would be the party’s flag-hoisting, a photo exhibition, blood donation camps, and paying tributes to party founder NT Rama Rao. As TD national president, Chandrababu Naidu would deliver the inaugural address at 11:50 am.
The three-day event would see the release of six resolutions, designed to set the party’s ideological and administrative vision for the future. These resolutions, crafted by TD national general secretary and state minister Nara Lokesh, signal a fresh and inclusive direction for the party.
Under Lokesh’s leadership, TD aims to not only align with its current goals and aspirations but also to run the party in a way that rewards dedication, performance and public service.
Besides, the "My TDP App" would be formally launched during the Mahanadu, providing a digital platform to connect the party’s top leadership with its grassroots workers. The app would help track performance, share updates, and reward active participation, making it a central tool for internal coordination and public outreach.
As part of the ideological renewal, Mahanadu 2025 would focus on six key formulas that represent the party’s refreshed agenda for governance, social empowerment and cadre-driven organisation. On the final day, on May 29, a massive public meeting is expected to host over 5 lakh people.
