Maha Kumbhabhishekam Festivities Begin at Gandi Kshetram in Kadapa

The Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple has been redeveloped at a cost of Rs 28.05 crore, providing upgraded facilities and an improved layout for devotees.

Kadapa: The Gandi Kshetram in Chakrayapet mandal of Kadapa district will witness the Maha Kumbhabhishekam festivities from Friday, temple authorities said. The celebrations will be held from May 8 to May 13.

The Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple has been redeveloped at a cost of Rs 28.05 crore, providing upgraded facilities and an improved layout for devotees.

The six-day religious programme will begin on May 8 with Ankurarpana. On May 9, Rama Sahasra Laksha Tulasi Archana will be performed, followed by Sita Sahasra Laksha Kumkumarchana on May 10.

On May 11, priests will conduct Anjaneya Sahasranama Nagavalli Dalarchana amid Vedic chanting. On May 12, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti, Sahasra Kalashabhishekam will be performed to the Moolavirat.

The festivities will conclude on May 13 with Maha Poornahuti, followed by Sarva Darshan for devotees and Annadanam distribution.

Temple authorities said arrangements had been made to manage the expected influx of devotees from across the state and ensure smooth conduct of rituals.
