Magunta Digging Own Political Grave By Attacking Jagan: Chevireddy

NELLORE: YSRC former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy on Tuesday accused Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy of “digging his own political grave” by making derogatory remarks against former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing the media in Ongole, Chevireddy said political criticism was acceptable, but personal attacks reflected poor political culture. He alleged that Magunta was criticising Jagan Mohan Reddy merely to please Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He recalled that Magunta had sought Jagan Mohan Reddy’s support to win the 2019 Lok Sabha election and questioned his subsequent remarks against the former chief minister. He also asked the MP to explain the utilisation of his MPLADS funds and development works undertaken in Ongole.
On the Veligonda project, Chevireddy claimed that the YSR family had played a key role in its construction and bringing water to western Prakasam. He challenged Magunta to swear on his family if he believed otherwise.
He asked Magunta to stop personal attacks and focus on public issues, warning that the people of Ongole would give him an appropriate political response.
