Madhav Urges Cadre To Strengthen BJP In AP

Madhav urged party members to make use of the ‘Spandana’ programme being held every Monday in district headquarters.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav has called for strengthening the party in the state on the lines of Gujarat and Karnataka.

Addressing party leaders at a workshop held here on Friday, the BJP chief asked the leaders and cadre how much time they could devote to the party to fulfil responsibilities entrusted by the leadership. He said the more time they dedicated, the stronger the party would become in the state.

Madhav urged party members to make use of the ‘Spandana’ programme being held every Monday in district headquarters. He said that resolving people’s problems, alongside organising programmes given by the national and state leadership, would help the party gain ground and win people’s support.

He called for the ‘Mana Janda–Mana Vooru’ programme to be organised in every village, with the BJP flag hoisted prominently. Referring to his recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state BJP chief said the PM recalled how the party was strong in Karnataka, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh during 1996–98, and stressed the need to revive its strength again.

He also emphasised the importance of exploring new markets and promoting the Swadeshi Movement to counter tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on Indian imports. He urged increased local purchases and encouraged production in line with this vision. He further called for Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2 to be observed as a ‘Swadeshi Vastu Bhandar’ programme.
