Madhav Holds ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ To Address People’s Issues In Guntur
Eery citizen must be free to practise their faith and respect others’ beliefs: BJP chief P.V.N. Madhav

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh BJP chief P.V.N. Madhav conducted a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ programme in Guntur on Tuesday with the objective of addressing people’s concerns and discussing local development issues.
During the interaction, Madhav emphasised the need to develop model colonies equipped with modern amenities, including installation of CCTV cameras, proper sanitation, and improved street lighting—similar to the concept of ‘Modi Colonies’. He also called for renaming prominent public places that reflect remnants of colonial or oppressive legacies, such as 'Jinnah Tower'.
On the matter of religious freedom, Madhav stated that every citizen must be free to practise their faith and respect others’ beliefs. He assured that all efforts would be made to ensure the development of Guntur and Vijayawada cities.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his tireless work towards national development, Madhav said the 'Chai Pe Charcha' initiative was inspired by the Prime Minister’s original concept of engaging directly with citizens.
Looking ahead to Independence Day on August 15, Madhav urged citizens to participate in the ‘Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag on August 13, 14, and 15 as part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations.
He also called upon BJP leaders and party cadre to gear up for the upcoming local body elections.
