Low Pressure To Bring Heavy Rains Over North Andhra
The IMD has issued a warning of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm / lightning and strong wind with speed of 40–50 kmph at isolated places over NCAP, Yanam, SCAP and Rayalaseema region on Monday (July 21)

Visakhapatnam: A low pressure area likely to form over north Bay of Bengal on July 24 could bring heavy rains to parts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP). According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the intensity of those rains is expected to increase in NCAP after three days.
In the interim, parts of AP have experienced moderate to heavy rainfall on Sunday under the influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation lying over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off south Odisha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. At the same time, a trough is passing from south Karnataka to south coastal AP (SCAP), leading to rains.
Mandasa in Srikakulam district experienced 9 cm of rainfall till 6 p.m. on Sunday, followed by 8 cm at Pydibhimavaram (Srikakulam), 7.5 cm each in Govindpuram (Vizianagaram) and Tangutur (Prakasam), 6 cm each in Chagallu (Palnadu) and Mangamuru (Prakasam) and 5.5 cm of rainfall each in Chilakapadu and Dekanakonda in Prakasam district.
Parts of Visakhapatnam city experienced light to moderate rainfall on Sunday afternoon and evening. The showers brought much-needed relief to Vizagites who have been experiencing humid weather conditions.

On July 22, heavy rain may be expected at isolated places over NCAP and Yanam. Thunderstorms / lightning and gusty surface wind speeds reaching 40–50 kmph may continue at isolated places over NCAP, SCAP, Yanam and Rayalaseema.
On July 23 and 24, heavy rain could be experienced at isolated places over NCAP and Yanam. Thunderstorms / lightning and gusty surface wind speeds reaching 50–60 kmph may continue at isolated places over NCAP, SCAP, Yanam and Rayalaseema.
