Lorry Driver Assaulted During Vehicle Inspection in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: A driver of the Transport Department’s Brake Inspector, Parvathi, allegedly assaulted a lorry driver in her presence. The incident took place near Maruthi Junction in Sheela Nagar, Visakhapatnam.

The attack was reportedly triggered by the driver’s anger after the lorry failed to stop for a vehicle inspection.

The lorry driver sustained serious injuries in the assault.

Reacting strongly to the incident, members of the Andhra Pradesh Lorry Association have decided to stage a massive protest, demanding action against those responsible.
