Lokesh Unveils Series of IT Investments in Vizag
Lokesh said the Cognizant’s presence in Visakhapatnam was a significant milestone in the city’s expanding technology ecosystem

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh government aims to create 500,000 IT jobs in Visakhapatnam over the next three and a half years, alongside establishing world-class educational standards in the city.
Stating this while inaugurating the Cognizant’s temporary campus here on Friday, IT minister Nara Lokesh said, “Let’s work together to make history.” He outlined an ambitious roadmap for the region’s technology sector.
Lokesh said the Cognizant’s presence in Visakhapatnam was a significant milestone in the city’s expanding technology ecosystem.
“Today marks an important day for both the city and the IT sector in Andhra Pradesh,” he said, thanking Cognizant for placing its trust in the state’s leadership.
The minister also participated in the foundation-stone-laying ceremony for 9 additional IT companies.
Addressing the youth, Lokesh described them as the “brand ambassadors of Andhra Pradesh,” stressing that their future opportunities would depend on their performance, skills and perseverance. He reiterated his vision of transforming Visakhapatnam into an economic powerhouse for the state.
Friday witnessed a series of groundbreaking ceremonies across the city, reflecting a surge in investor confidence. At Hill No. 2 in Madhurawada, Lokesh set the foundation stone for the Tech Tammina campus. The US-headquartered company would invest `62 crore in its Visakhapatnam unit, creating 500 jobs and expanding its global presence, which already includes the Netherlands, Dubai and India.
Lokesh initiated construction for Nonrel Technologies Pvt Ltd, which plans to invest `50.60 crore and generate 567 jobs. At the Visakhapatnam IT SEZ, Lokesh set the stone for ACN Infotech, which promised to invest `30 crore to create 600 jobs, with operations beginning within a year’s time.
In Bheemili’s Kapuluppada area, Lokesh launched the campus of Imaginnovate Techsolutions (India) Pvt Ltd. The company would invest `140 crore and create 2,600 jobs. He also initiated the construction of Fluentgrid Limited’s IT campus, a `150-crore project expected to generate 2,000 jobs, and Motherson Technology Services Ltd’s facility at Phase-1 IT Park, which would create 1,775 jobs with an investment of `109.73 crore.
Quarks Technosoft Pvt Ltd also had its foundation laid at Kapuluppada, with plans to invest `115 crore and create 2,000 jobs.
Lokesh laid the foundation stone for the Sattva Vantage Vizag campus at Hill Number 4 in Madhurawada. Spread across 30 acres, the `1,500-crore project is expected to directly create 25,000 jobs and indirectly support 40,000 to 50,000 more. The campus would feature Grade-A office spaces, premium residences, integrated retail and hospitality facilities, smart mobility systems, renewable energy integration, and ESG-aligned infrastructure.
Sattva plans to develop 1 million square feet of IT office space in the first three years and 4 million square feet in the following five years.
Reflecting on the day’s developments, Lokesh said, “This is an emotional journey for Visakhapatnam. The TD played a role in developing Hyderabad, and investments are becoming a reality in Andhra Pradesh. Thank you for placing your trust in us. Visakhapatnam is a beautiful city. Let’s all create history together.”
He said that under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, Visakhapatnam, strategically positioned between Bengaluru and Goa, and being home to a skilled workforce, was on track for a transformative growth.
