Lokesh to Set Stone for AIG Hospital in Yendada Today

The hospital is coming up on nine acres, while a nursing college will be established on another 2.5 acres.

Vijayawada:Minister for Education, IT and Electronics N. Lokesh will lay the foundation stone for the construction of an AIG Hospital (Asian Institute of Gastroenterology) at Yendada in Visakhapatnam on Monday.

The hospital will be developed at an investment of ₹2,000 crore in phases and is expected to provide employment to 9,000 people. It will have 1,000 beds on completion.

The hospital is coming up on nine acres, while a nursing college will be established on another 2.5 acres.

In the first phase, two towers with a combined capacity of 650 beds will be constructed, with completion scheduled for October 2028. In the second phase, another tower will be added with 350 beds. The hospital will have more than 50 medical specialties.
