Lokesh to Launch Dalmia Expansion Works Tomorrow
Minister Nara Lokesh will lay the foundation stone for the ₹3,478-crore Line-2 expansion project at the Dalmia Cement plant in Kadapa district.
Andhra Pradesh IT, electronics, human resources development and skill development minister Nara Lokesh will lay the foundation stone for the Line-2 expansion project of the Dalmia Cement plant on July 15.
Ahead of the minister’s visit, district collector Dr Sridhar Cherukuri on Monday evening inspected the Dalmia Cement plant located at Chinna Komerla village in Mylavaram mandal of Jammalamadugu constituency.
The collector, along with state government whip and Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy and district SP Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath, reviewed the site identified for the expansion works, which will be taken up at an estimated cost of `3,478 crore.
Officials briefed the collector on the arrangements being made for the minister’s visit and the proposed expansion project. The collector directed officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the programme.
The Line-2 expansion is expected to boost industrial growth and generate employment opportunities in the region.
