Lokesh Stops For Tea At Party Worker’s Stall En-Route To Mahanadu

Lokesh assured him of his support and encouraged him to reach out if he needed any help.

Tirupati:Minister and Telugu Desam general secretary Nara Lokesh stopped for tea at a roadside stall in Shantipuram on Monday evening while travelling from Kuppam to Kadapa for the Mahanadu meeting.

The tea stall is run by Chengachari, a long-time TD supporter from Shantipuram. Lokesh, who had been in Kuppam for a housewarming ceremony, stopped in front of the stall and asked for a cup of tea. Chengachari, surprised by the visit, served tea and briefly interacted with the minister.

Chengachari told Lokesh that he was associated with the TD since 1994 and has been running the tea stall for his livelihood. He said that due to political pressure, his stall was shut down for nearly five years and it was reopened only after Chandrababu Naidu assumed office as chief minister in June last year.

He has two daughters, one of whom is yet to be married. Lokesh assured him of his support and encouraged him to reach out if he needed any help.
