Lokesh Says Trade Pact Between India and UK Will Give Major Boost to AP’s Aqua Industry
CETA opens UK market with zero duties on 99% of Indian goods, says AP minister

Vijayawada: As India and the UK sign a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) advancing new era of economic partnership under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AP minister for education and IT Nara Lokesh expressed gratitude to the PM Modi and Union minister for commerce Piyush Goyal on behalf of people from the state.
In a post on ‘X’, minister Lokesh said, “India and the United Kingdom are bound together by deep ties of history. Today we take a giant leap forward in that relationship. I am delighted that the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement has been signed. It provided for an unprecedented market access for Indian goods with zero-duty access on 99% of tariff lines, covering nearly 100% of the trade value. Specifically, AP’s valuable aqua industry would gain significant market access into UK and benefit from reduced tariffs.”
