Lokesh Sanctions ₹12 Lakh Aid For 12-Year-Old Boy Fighting Cancer

VIJAYAWADA: Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh has extended vital financial support to a 12-year-old boy from Anantapur district who is battling blood cancer. The minister facilitated ₹12 lakh assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to enable life-saving treatment.

The patient, K. Chinni Krishna Uday Pawan Kumar, hailing from Venugopal Nagar in Anantapur town, is currently undergoing treatment at the Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation in Bengaluru. Diagnosed at a tender age, he has been forced to put his education on hold while bravely battling the disease.

According to a press release, the child’s family, struggling with severe financial hardship, could not afford advanced medical procedures including bone marrow transplantation and chemotherapy. During Lokesh’s visit to Anantapur last month, they approached him seeking urgent help.

Responding promptly, the minister assured full support and ensured the sanction of `12 lakh from the CMRF to meet the mounting medical costs.

The family expressed profound gratitude to Lokesh, saying his timely intervention has renewed their hope in saving the child’s life.
