Lokesh Releases APTET Results; In-Service Teachers Post 50.93% Pass Rate
Education Minister Nara Lokesh releases APTET-June 2026 results, with 45.63% of papers cleared and in-service teachers recording a 50.93% pass rate.
Education Minister Nara Lokesh on Sunday released the results of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET)-June 2026, with 45.63 per cent of the papers attempted by candidates being cleared.
In-service teachers recorded a significantly higher pass percentage of 50.93.
The APTET-June 2026 examinations were conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 12 days from August 5 to 16. As many as 2,14,486 candidates registered for 2,38,252 papers, while 1,97,703 candidates appeared for 2,18,254 papers.
After the examinations, the preliminary key was released and objections submitted by candidates were examined by an expert committee. Necessary corrections were made following the scrutiny. The end results were prepared based on the final key.
According to the school education department, 90,862 candidates cleared 99,591 papers, with a pass percentage of 45.63.
Candidates can check their APTET-June 2026 results by logging in with their candidate credentials on the official APTET websites, tet2dsc.apcfss.in or cse.ap.gov.in. The results are also available through the WhatsApp number 9552300009, APTET convener M Venkata Krishna Reddy said.
Among in-service teachers, 74,711 candidates had registered for 84,798 papers and 72,288 appeared for 81,127 papers. As many as 37,789 teachers cleared 41,315 papers, resulting in a pass percentage of 50.93.
Lokesh congratulated all successful candidates, particularly in-service teachers, and said their performance demonstrated their academic excellence and commitment. Their hard work and dedication would contribute to shaping the future of education in Andhra Pradesh, he said.
The minister told candidates who could not qualify in the examination that they should not lose heart and continue their efforts. Success, he said, is a journey rather than a destination.
The latest performance of in-service teachers marks an improvement over APTET-October 2025. Of the 31,886 in-service teachers who appeared in that examination, 15,239, or 47.82 per cent, had qualified.
The education minister said the results would provide encouragement to successful candidates to pursue their teaching careers with greater commitment. He urged those who fell short to keep working towards qualification.
