Lokesh Promises Swift Solutions at His 88th Praja Darbar
Citizens present issues; minister assures review and timely action

Vijayawada: Continuing his outreach to people, AP Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh organised his 88th edition of Praja Darbar at the Telugu Desam Party’s central office in Mangalagiri on Tuesday.
Citizens and party workers from various parts of the state met the minister and presented a wide range of petitions. He cordially interacted with them and assured prompt action on their concerns.
Among the key issues raised are those by villagers from Bollavaram, Tatipadu, and Bhaskarapuram in Jupadu mandal of Nandyal district. They sought removal of nearly 72 acres of inherited land from the prohibited list under Section 22(A)(1)(C), stating that the inclusion is causing hardships to them. Lokesh assured them that the matter would be examined and necessary steps taken.
Representatives of Andhra Pradesh Two-Wheeler Workers Welfare Association urged the minister to address the problems faced by nearly eight lakh two-wheeler mechanics across the state. Similarly, members of the Mudiraj community appealed for the establishment of a dedicated corporation for their welfare. The minister responded positively, promising to review all representations and work towards resolving them.
Earlier, Lokesh lauded social activist Vijay Kalam, founder of Vibrants of Kalam Trust, for taking up a 1,000-km cycling tour from Tirupati to Visakhapatnam to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The initiative, titled “Drugs-Free Andhra Pradesh Mission Dandi March 2.0,” has already covered 549 km.
Reiterating the state government’s commitment to public welfare, the minister said the Praja Darbar platform would continue to serve as a bridge between the administration and people.
