Lokesh Meets Sundar Pichai, Reviews Google’s $15B Vizag AI Project
AP IT Minister invites Google to expand investments into Drone City and boost server manufacturing ecosystem.

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Lokesh Nara met Google CEO Sundar Pichai in San Francisco, where they reviewed the progress of Google’s upcoming $15-billion AI Data Centre in Visakhapatnam — touted as one of the largest FDI projects outside the United States. During the meeting, attended by senior Google executives Thomas Kurian and Bikash Koley, Lokesh thanked the company for its landmark investment and discussed ways to accelerate project timelines.
He also invited Google to explore setting up a drone assembly, calibration and testing facility in the state’s upcoming Drone City, while urging the tech giant to deepen its involvement in AP’s growing server manufacturing ecosystem.
In his meeting with Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Lokesh invited Adobe to set up a Global Capability or Development Center in Visakhapatnam to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s digital innovation landscape. He also discussed opportunities for deeper collaboration in fabless design, advanced research and engineering. Highlighting the state’s world-class AMTZ and pharma zones, he encouraged Adobe to explore health-tech and life sciences investments as part of its expansion strategy.
