Lokesh in Delhi To Meet Ministers, Seek Support For State Projects

Education Minister Nara Lokesh would be in New Delhi on Monday to hold discussions with central ministers and seek clearance/funds for several AP projects.

VIJAYAWADA: Education Minister Nara Lokesh would be in New Delhi on Monday to hold discussions with central ministers and seek clearance/funds for several AP projects.

Sources said he would hold discussions with several ministers there to facilitate clearance for various state-level initiatives and thank the Centre for the recent approvals, including the semiconductor manufacturing unit for AP.
Lokesh would also discuss with them some new initiatives for Andhra Pradesh. He would present the state government’s proposals to various central ministries.

Notably, Lokesh met central ministers on multiple occasions in the past to pursue the state’s interests. Officials said his efforts have “helped bring new projects to AP and ensure quicker approvals from the Centre.”
This time, the minister plans to meet the railway, IT and electronics minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, roads minister Nitin Gadkari, petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Shipping minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Commerce minister Piyush Goyal and external affairs minister S Jaishankar.
