The minister said political stability is essential for development and attracting investments. He advised party workers to strengthen the organisation to ensure the coalition's continuation in power.
TIRUPATI: Telugu Desam national working president and Education minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday announced a state-wide door-to-door campaign from July 15 to publicise the NDA coalition government's welfare and development programmes.
Addressing a meeting of TD workers from the Srikalahasti assembly constituency at Kothapalem near Renigunta, Lokesh asked the party workers to take the government's initiatives and achievements to every household. He underlined that the campaign would highlight the coalition government's welfare and development programmes, while exposing what he described as failures and misrule of the previous YSRC government.
The TD national working president charged that YSRC leaders are associated with corruption, illegal liquor trade, red sanders smuggling, and other irregularities. He claimed that the previous government had damaged the state's development and investment climate. He urged party workers to explain these issues to the public during their campaign.
Pointing out that the previous regime had promoted political arrogance, the minister wanted TD leaders and workers to remain accessible to people.
He said the second instalment of Thalliki Vandanam scheme would be released during the mega parent-teacher meetings to be held from July 16 to July 18. He maintained that the NDA government has balanced welfare with development, filled 16,000 teacher posts and 6,000 police constable posts, and would announce a Mega Job Calendar with 10,000 more vacancies this year.
Praising the party cadre, Lokesh said Telugu Desam would recognise dedicated workers. He asked them to remain united and strengthen their relations with the public. He wanted party workers to use the My TDP app to record their activities. He said the party would provide free health check-ups and medicines to leaders at the cluster, unit, and village levels.
The minister said political stability is essential for development and attracting investments. He advised party workers to strengthen the organisation to ensure the coalition's continuation in power.
Lokesh entrusted Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy with the responsibility of working towards the economic empowerment of party workers in the constituency. He suggested starting promotion of small-scale industries to generate employment. He said the government would examine the proposal to revive SKIT Engineering College after discussions with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
