Lokesh Announces AP PECET 2026 Results
AP PECET is conducted for admissions into the two-year Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) and Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) programmes offered by colleges across Andhra Pradesh.
Vijayawada: Education minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday announced the results of the Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test (AP PECET) 2026 through his account on social media platform X.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Lokesh said the results reflected the growing interest among youth in pursuing careers in physical education and sports.
According to the results, 4,037 candidates registered for AP PECET 2026, while 2,958 appeared for the examination. Of them, 2,655 candidates qualified, registering an overall pass percentage of 89.76 per cent. Among the successful candidates, 1,993 were men and 662 were women. The pass percentage among male candidates is 92.91 per cent, while that of women candidates is 81.43 per cent.
AP PECET is conducted for admissions into the two-year Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) and Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) programmes offered by colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The results showed that 2,396 candidates qualified for B.P.Ed. courses, while 259 candidates became eligible for D.P.Ed. programmes.
A notable feature of this year's examination is the sharp increase in registrations. The number of applicants rose from 2,032 in 2025 to 4,037 in 2026, reflecting an increase of 2,005 registrations, nearly doubling the previous year's figure.
While participation increased substantially, the overall pass percentage declined from 94.47 per cent in 2025 to 89.76 per cent this year.
District-wise analysis shows Alluri Sitarama Raju district emerging as the top performer with a remarkable 99.34 per cent pass rate, followed by Parvathipuram Manyam (97.26 per cent) and NTR district (95.24 per cent).
In the merit list, Yadla Gunasri of Anakapalli district secured the first rank, Koduri Kumari of Krishna district second, and Arika Jogulu of Parvathipuram Manyam district the third position.
Minister Lokesh said candidates can access their results and rank cards through the AP State Council of Higher Education portal as well as the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service.
