Leopard Found Dead Near Srisailam Temple

Kurnool: A leopard was found dead in the Pathalganga Metlu area of Srisailam temple town in the early hours of Wednesday.

Alerted by locals about the carcass, Atmakur deputy director of forests, Vignesh Appavu, inspected the spot and said the leopard might have died following a fight with another animal or possibly after being attacked by dogs.

He noted that the animal had a severe head injury, suggesting the wound could have caused its death. A postmortem examination is being conducted to determine the exact cause, he added.
