Left Leaders Ask Vizag CP To Rescue 7 Youth Trapped In Cambodia
The scammers learnt this and brutally assaulted all the seven youth, with two of them suffering serious head injuries: Reports

VISAKHAPATNAM: A joint action committee of leftist trade unions have asked commissioner of police, Visakhapatnam, to rescue seven youth of AP who are trapped in Cambodia.
The victims, according to them, are M.V.V.S.V. Prasad of Ramarajulanka and Kovvuri Naga Shankar Reddy of Ravulapalem in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, Srirangam Sundara Rao, Chekka Sunil, Battina Sai Kumar, and Bodala Sai Kumar of Srikakulam district, and Chinapalli Hemanth Kumar from Visakhapatnam district.
Addressing media here on Sunday, the left leaders said these youth studied Intermediate, 10th class or ITI, and learnt basic data processing skills. They had been lured by an agent named Bongu Murali Reddy, resident of R. Sunnapalli, and Kothalingudu of Santhabommali in Srikakulam district, with promises of data processing jobs in Samraong of Cambodia.
Each youth paid ₹1.7 lakh to the agents and travelled to Cambodia. Upon arrival, they had been forced to pay an additional US $3,000 each to Cambodian agents. The youth had then been handed over to Chinese scammers who forced the youth to online defraud people in India.
When the youth refused and wanted to return home, the scammers demanded another $5,000 from each person for their release. The victims managed to approach the Indian Embassy in Samraong, where they have been informed that their repatriation process will take about a month.
However, the scammers learnt this and brutally assaulted all the seven youth, with two of them suffering serious head injuries.
The left leaders requested the commissioner to urgently intervene and ensure safe return of the seven youth to India.
