Lawyers Clash Over Case at Adoni Police Station
Tension prevailed at the Adoni Two Town police station on Wednesday following a clash between two groups of lawyers over a case involving their clients.
Kurnool: Tension prevailed at the Adoni Two Town police station on Wednesday following a clash between two groups of lawyers over a case involving their clients.
Lawyers from both groups had gone to the police station to meet ASP Jaya Sharma and lodge complaints in connection with the case.
During the incident, a group supporting advocate Purushotham Reddy allegedly attacked another advocate, Mallikarjuna.
Subsequently, some Bar Association members allegedly attacked Purushotham Reddy inside the police station.
Following the clash, Bar Association members staged a protest outside the Two Town police station, demanding registration of a criminal case against Purushotham Reddy and his arrest.
Police collected details of the incident and said a case had been registered.
An investigation is underway.
