Law and Order Deteriorating in Kurnool, Says Bharath
He was referring to the recent killing of TD worker Intiyaz Basha, which had created tension in the region
KURNOOL: Minister T.G. Bharath on Monday expressed concern over the law and order situation in Kurnool district and questioned the police response to recent incidents.
Speaking to the media, Bharath said rowdy elements were creating problems in Kurnool city and resorting to murders over trivial issues. He was referring to the recent killing of TD worker Intiyaz Basha, which had created tension in the region.
Referring to the incident, Bharath questioned the police response, stating that social media posts had surfaced nearly a week earlier warning about the possible murder of Intiyaz.
“When there was prior information circulating on social media, why did the police fail to act? Why was there no alertness from the intelligence system?” he questioned.
The minister also alleged that while the police appeared to be closely monitoring public representatives, including ministers and MLAs, they were failing to track anti-social elements and their activities.
