Last Rites Of Martyred Havaldar Murali Naik Today Amid Military, State Honours
Police and Military contingents will present a Gun Salute to Havaldar Murali Naik’s mortal remains draped in the National Flag between 11:30 am and 12:00 noon.

Anantapur:A tiny tribal hamlet Kalli Tanda in Gorantla mandal of Satya Sai district has attracted national limelight after the martyrdom of Havaldar Murali Naik belonging to the Indian Army.
Havaldar Naik reportedly killed at least 15 enemies during a fight along the J&K border with Pakistan as part of Operation Sindoor.
Murali Naik is the only son of Sriram Naik, a small farmer of the tanda. Sriram Naik had not been interested in Murali Naik joining in the Indian Army after completion of his graduation. But Murali had been firm on being part of the Indian Army.
The mortal remains of Murali Naik reached the Bangalore International Airport on Saturday evening. Minister Sabita, along with military officials, received the martyr’s body and shifted it to Kalli Tanda by road, about 90 km away from the airport.
Thousands of people from across the region took the mortal remains of the Havaldar in a procession from Gummayagari Tanda to Kalli Tanda, with hundreds of vehicles being part of the procession.
The Army team handed over the mortal remains to the family members in presence of revenue and police officials.
Singer Mangli who came to the village to consoled the parents of Murali Naik called on every Indian woman to adorn herself in Sindoor during the Havaldar’s last rites, keeping in view his sacrifice for the nation.
Police and Military contingents will present a Gun Salute to Havaldar Murali Naik’s mortal remains draped in the National Flag between 11:30 am and 12:00 noon. The soldier’s body will be cremated as per tribal traditions between 12:30 pm and pm.
