Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said last-mile governance must effectively reach every constituency. Political management and bureaucratic action should work together to achieve development and good governance. He directed officials to ensure that the Real-Time Governance (RTG) Centre delivers real-time responses to citizens' grievances and emergencies. He stressed that prompt response is the key to providing better public services. After returning to Amaravati following his five-day district tour, the Chief Minister reviewed the functioning of the RTG Centre at the Secretariat today. Reviewing governance initiatives, the Chief Minister said, "We are using AI-based methodologies to measure citizen satisfaction in Chittoor district. Field visits by officials help us understand public opinion directly. Pending applications under the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) must be disposed of on priority. A comprehensive action plan should be prepared for resolving PGRS applications across departments and categories. Collectors and senior officials must take responsibility to ensure visible results on the ground.
The Chief Minister directed officials to take special steps to establish Anna Canteens in tribal areas. He also stressed the need to significantly reduce crime against women and completely curb ganja networks across the state. He instructed officials to widely publicize the government's anti-ganja initiatives and noted that the Centre's vision of making India a drug-free nation should guide the state's efforts as well. He further asked officials to continuously assess the outcomes of government schemes and programmes. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) should be issued for drinking water supply, operation of Swachha vehicles for waste collection, and door-to-door garbage collection.The Chief Minister directed officials to clear the accumulated 23 lakh metric tonnes of legacy waste in municipalities and municipal corporations within three months and called upon public representatives to closely monitor the drive. He reiterated that creating zero-waste urban local bodies should be the state's objective.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to classify grievances received from citizens and through PGRS into financial and non-financial categories to facilitate faster resolution. He asked Collectors and departmental officials to give special attention to grievance redressal. He also encouraged departments to adopt best practices followed elsewhere and focus on innovation in addressing governance challenges.
The Chief Minister further instructed all government departments to analyse the outcomes achieved through AWARE 2.0 within one month. He also called for an action plan to improve communication network connectivity across the state by establishing mobile towers in remote areas and directed officials to engage with telecom operators for speedy implementation.
