Land Registrations: Names in 1-B and Adangal Records to Change Automatically in AP From July

The minister was accompanied by Bapatla district collector Vinod Kumar and joint collector Bhavana Vasishta

VIJAYAWADA: Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad on Sunday said land services have been simplified and key revenue services are now available online at village secretariats.

From July, names in 1-B and Adangal records would automatically change online immediately after each land registration, he said.

Participating in the distribution of newly-issued Pattadar passbooks with the state emblem at Poodivada village in Nagaram mandal of Bapatla district, the minister said the government had organised gram sabhas in every revenue village to identify and address farmers’ land-related grievances.

The minister was accompanied by Bapatla district collector Vinod Kumar and joint collector Bhavana Vasishta.

The re-survey programme was aimed at preventing future generations from facing land disputes and ensuring clear ownership rights for farmers. Several irregularities in land records were being rectified through the exercise, he said.

Satya Prasad said the new Pattadar passbooks issued after re-survey contain QR codes enabling farmers to access land details, maps and boundaries digitally. Aadhaar and mobile numbers are also being linked to land records to ensure transparency and quick grievance redressal.

The minister said the government had removed eligible patta lands from the prohibited 22-A categories and restored ownership rights to farmers. Despite financial constraints, welfare schemes were being implemented effectively and industrial investments were being encouraged to create employment opportunities for youth, he said.

The minister announced that development works worth `4 crore were being undertaken in Poodivada village.

Addressing the gathering, collector Vinod Kumar described the Pattadar passbook as the “keystone” of revenue administration, saying a proper passbook could be issued only after re-survey and resolution of encroachments and disputes. He said the government was giving priority to the programme and the chief minister had personally participated in a similar passbook distribution programme at Sourepalle village in Bhattiprolu mandal last month.

Joint collector Bhavana Vasishta said the re-survey would be completed across the district by November this year. A re-survey was being conducted in 204 villages, of which work had already been completed in 60 villages.

In Poodivada village, Pattadar passbooks are to be distributed to 1,166 account holders covering 2,024 acres. So far, 862 passbooks have been distributed, while 295 pending issues are being resolved before further distribution, officials said.
