Vijayawada: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha urged people across Andhra Pradesh to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Amaravati on May 2, where he will relaunch capital reconstruction works.
At a review meeting held at the TD office in Nidamanur, NTR district, Anitha said over 5 lakh people are expected at the event. She criticised the previous YSRC government for stalling Amaravati, which she said was envisioned as a world-class capital.
She credited the NDA government for reviving the project and expressed confidence that Amaravati would be completed within two years under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership.

Gannavaram MLA and Government Whip Yarlagadda Venkat Rao said over 20,000 people from his constituency would attend. He said Amaravati’s development would create employment and boost industrial growth across the state.
