Kurnool: Tension Near Alur Counting Centre, Police Resort to Lathi-Charge

Kurnool: Tension prevailed near the Alur counting centre in Kurnool district after police resorted to a lathi-charge on members of both groups. Two YSRCP counting agents sustained injuries in the incident.

The tension erupted after party leaders objected to the entry of counting agents. Representatives of political parties expressed anger over permission being granted to only one agent. They also staged a protest, alleging that entry was denied to agents despite passes being issued to them.
