He advised people to record and safely store their phone’s IMEI number to aid recovery. Police said a total of 2,402 mobile phones worth ₹4.08 crore have been recovered and returned in four phases so far. The initiative has been widely appreciated for helping people retrieve lost devices while raising awareness on mobile security.
