Kurnool: The annual Kumbhotsavam for Goddess Sri Bhramaramba Devi will be held at Srisailam April 15. This special ritual is observed every year on either Tuesday or Friday following the full moon in the month of Chaitra, whichever comes first, and includes the offering of Sattvik Bali to the goddess.
In view of the Kumbhotsavam, all arjitha sevas in the temple of the Goddess will be suspended on April 15. As part of tradition, special pujas associated with the occasion are performed in isolation for the goddess. Hence, darshan for devotees will only be allowed from 7 pm to 9 pm on that day.
On the day of the Kumbhotsavam, arjitha services at the Goddess temple will be held only until noon. Likewise, darshan and arjitha services at the Sri Swamy temple will also be suspended from the evening.
Normal darshan and arjitha sevas in both temples will resume on April 16 from 7 am onwards. Additionally, the regular Kalyanam and Ekantha Seva of Sri Swamy and Ammavaru will also be suspended on April 15 in view of the Kumbhotsavam, according to temple authorities.
