Kondapalli Defends Mega DSC, Slams YSRC
He said the coalition government fulfilled its election promise by approving the Mega DSC immediately after assuming office and recruiting 16,000 teachers.
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas on Monday defended the Mega DSC recruitment drive, accusing the YSRC of spreading misinformation to defame the coalition government and mislead unemployed youth.
Addressing a press conference, Srinivas said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had conducted nine DSC recruitment drives during his earlier tenures, filling over 1.80 lakh teacher posts in undivided and bifurcated Andhra Pradesh. He said the coalition government fulfilled its election promise by approving the Mega DSC immediately after assuming office and recruiting 16,000 teachers.
The minister alleged that despite promising to fill 8,000 teacher posts, the previous YSRCP government failed to conduct even a single DSC recruitment examination during its five-year term. He questioned why YSRCP leaders were not demanding an explanation from former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over the issue.
Defending the recruitment process, Srinivas said the government ensured complete transparency by publishing answer keys, results and selection lists online despite more than 230 court cases being filed over the recruitment. He noted that 583 candidates from Vizianagaram district secured teaching posts and said their selection reflected the fairness of the process. The minister also urged former Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana to withdraw his remarks against the government.
On the Bhogapuram International Greenfield Airport, Srinivas said all arrangements had been completed for its inauguration, including preparations for a public meeting expected to draw around three lakh people. He added that efforts were underway to expedite the disposal of pending land acquisition cases before the tribunal and the High Court.
