Kakinada Girl Who Went Missing 9 Months Ago, Traced
Kakinada: Vijayawada police on Tuesday traced Tejaswini, who went missing nine months ago after her mother Siva Kumari submitted a representation to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan three days ago.
The Deputy CM immediately instructed police commissioner P.H.D. Ramakrishna to trace the girl.
Pawan Kalyan told media at Kakinada on Tuesday that the most efficient AP police found the girl in Jammu and Kashmir. “A police team has gone to J&K. They are bringing the girl and a youth who took her away to Vijayawada on Wednesday,” he announced.
The Deputy Chief Minister underlined that though the girl had gone missing nine months ago, the previous government did not take care of the incident. He disclosed that nearly 30,000 women in the state are missing. The government will set up a special cell soon to trace the missing women, he stated.
Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous government for not taking serious cases of missing girls and women.
He acknowledged that the number of police staff in the state needs to be increased, as the existing personnel are overburdened.
