Justice Manavendranath Roy Assumes Charge as AP High Court Judge
Justice Manavendranath Roy hails from Parvathipuram in the erstwhile Vizianagaram district

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur administered the oath of office to Justice Cheekati Manavendranath Roy as judge of the AP High Court at a ceremony held on Monday at the High Court premises in Nelapadu, Guntur district.
Justice Manavendranath Roy hails from Parvathipuram in the erstwhile Vizianagaram district. He studied law and joined the district judge cadre in 2002, serving in several positions across both Telugu states.
He was appointed registrar general of the AP High Court in July 2015 and served as a High Court judge from June 2019. Later, he was transferred to the Gujarat High Court in November 2023. Recently, he was posted back to the AP High Court, where he assumed charge on Monday.
Several High Court judges, advocate general Dammalapati Srinivas, and other senior legal officers attended the ceremony.
