Jana Sena To Host Three-Day Convention In Visakhapatnam

VISAKHAPATNAM: President of Jana Sena, Pawan Kalyan, will hold a three-day state-level convention in Visakhapatnam called “Senatho Senani,” aimed at strengthening organisation and addressing concerns at the grassroots. The convention scheduled from August 28 to August 30, is likely to draw 15,000 party workers and representatives from across the state.

PAC chairman and civil supplies minister, Nadendla Manohar, announced the details during a press conference following a coordination meeting with GVMC and police officials at the municipal stadium. The event will commence on August 28 with meetings of MLAs and MLCs at the YMCA followed by discussions with state-level workers at 2pm.

On Day 2, the event will feature sessions with workers coming from 25 parliamentary constituencies as well as focusing on party veterans who have been active since the organisation’s inception and those who opposed the previous YSRCP government.

The final day is anticipated to see the largest gathering with an estimated 15,000 workers participating in the discussions about the party’s future direction.

The minister said the convention will address several critical issues such as concerns of the common citizen, delivery of public service, initiatives taken for employment generation, steps taken for women’s safety, agricultural support programmes at the field level as well as development opportunities in the tourism sector.

The party plans to showcase welfare programmes run by the government through “Super Six” schemes and the event will feature a photo exhibition wherein progress in tourism and employment sectors will be highlighted.

“Jana Sena is a party that represents the voice of the common man and its core mission is also to represent ordinary citizens,” the minister emphasized. The convention is a platform for the party to fulfill its alliance obligations. Besides, to ensure smooth execution of the programmes, twelve committees have been set up under the leadership of elected legislators, he added.
