Jana Sena MLA Seeks Bharat Ratna for NTR, Lauds Nara Family
He appealed to the House to forward the resolution to the Centre

Vijayawada: Jana Sena leader and Anakapalle MLA Konathala Ramakrishna on Thursday urged the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly to adopt a resolution recommending the Bharat Ratna for former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party founder N. T. Rama Rao.
Participating in the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address on the second day of the Budget session, Ramakrishna said conferring the nation’s highest civilian award on NTR would be a matter of pride for Andhra Pradesh and the Telugu community, and would uphold Telugu self-respect. He appealed to the House to forward the resolution to the Centre.
The MLA also highlighted the achievements of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s family members. He said Nara Devansh, son of Minister Nara Lokesh and grandson of Naidu, had entered the World Book of Records as the “Fastest Checkmate Solver” by solving 32 pawns across nine chess boards in five minutes.
Ramakrishna said Nara Bhuvaneswari had received the 2025 Outstanding Dairy Professional Award from the Indian Dairy Association, while Nara Brahmani was honoured with the Golden Peacock Excellence Award, the Most Powerful Woman in India recognition and the UK Corporate Excellence Award.
Referring to governance, he described the coordination between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan as a “triple-engine sarkar”. He claimed the State had recorded 25 per cent investment growth, attracted ₹5–6 lakh crore of investments to Visakhapatnam, moved the steel plant towards profitability, brought 30 lakh acres under cultivation with an outlay of ₹5,000 crore, constructed 4,000 km of roads at a cost of ₹12,000 crore, and reduced power tariffs.
He concluded by thanking the Governor on behalf of the Jana Sena.
